Sharing Among Weichert Companies
Weichert Companies use and share your information with each other in accordance with the Weichert Companies Privacy Policy allowing Weichert Companies to manage and provide and offer you a variety of services through a broad development of your personal and financial needs.
Mortgage Access Corp. may also disclose such information under certain other circumstances permitted or required by law, including in connection with a subpoena or similar legal process, a fraud investigation, recording of deeds of trust and mortgages in public records, or the sale of a mortgage to another.
We may share information with third parties that is not personally identifying, such as aggregated or anonymized data, in our discretion, where not prohibited by law.
How We Protect Your Information
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your non-public personal information. Encryption technology is used when loan applications and other non-public personal information is transmitted over the Internet. We restrict access to non-public personal information to those employees who need to know that information to provide our services to you. Our employees are bound by a Confidentiality Agreement requiring confidential treatment of all such information.
Online applications are maintained on a secure server. We do not ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us in a non-secure environment, such as within or attached to an email. Email is normally not protected and may be intercepted and viewed by others.
Electronic communications such as email, text messages and social media messaging, are neither secure nor confidential. While Mortgage Access Corp. has adopted policies and procedures to aid in avoiding fraud, even the best security protections can still be bypassed by unauthorized parties. Mortgage Access Corp. will never send you any electronic communication with instructions to transfer funds or to provide nonpublic personal information, such as credit card or debit numbers or bank account and/or routing numbers.
YOU SHOULD NEVER TRANSMIT NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION, SUCH AS CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD NUMBERS OR BANK ACCOUNT OR ROUTING NUMBERS, BY EMAIL OR OTHER UNSECURED ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION. EMAILS ATTEMPTING TO INDUCE FRAUDULENT WIRE TRANSFERS ARE COMMON AND MAY APPEAR TO COME FROM A TRUSTED SOURCE.
If you receive any electronic communication directing you to transfer funds or provide nonpublic personal information, EVEN IF THAT ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION APPEARS TO BE FROM MORTGAGE ACCESS CORP. or its affiliates, do not respond to it and immediately contact your Mortgage Advisor. Such requests, even if they may otherwise appear to be from Mortgage Access Corp., are likely part of a scheme to defraud you by stealing funds from you or using your identity to commit a crime. Mortgage Access Corp. requires the use of passwords that meet minimum length and complexity requirements. Users are also required to change their passwords periodically. To protect against unauthorized access, accounts are locked after a few unsuccessful login attempts.

The information-sharing practices described above are designed in accordance with federal law. California law places additional restrictions on sharing information about California residents, so long as they remain California residents.
